A few days separate us from the release of the big update that will end the current season and start the new season with a new version of the football game, which will become eFootball v4.00 instead of 2025 as previously announced, but will we finally witness the return of the highly anticipated game mode Master League?
For those who don't know, Konami decided to dispense with linking the new year to the name of the new version of the game and instead linked the name to the big update number that it gets throughout the year. In other words, the next version of the game will not be eFootball 2025 but will carry the name eFootball v4.00 in reference to the next big update.
Over the past years, the game has received many updates that have significantly improved the gameplay and graphics quality, and have also brought many diverse game modes, in addition to the challenges and tournaments that have not stopped throughout the past period. Despite this, the game's fans, especially those who are attached to the atmosphere of the previous PES series, are still waiting for the return of the distinctive game mode Master League.
Konami promised since the game was released in September 2021 that the Master League game mode was coming, but unfortunately, after nearly 3 years and the release of 4 updated versions of the game, the company still has not fulfilled its promise to the public.
What is Master League game mode and will we see its return in eFootball v4.00 2025?
Master League mode gives players the chance to take the reins of their favorite club and guide them to glory and championships, giving you complete freedom to build tactics, make signings, and more! While we have yet to see what Master League will look like in eFootballWe expect it to be similar to what was in the PES series with some improvements and expansions.
Konami may have a chance to fulfill what it promised several years ago by releasing the game mode in the upcoming new version eFootball v4.00 2025. But so far, no details have been revealed about the upcoming update and what new content it will bring to the game.
Is Master League free or paid?
If the dream comes true and we see the return of the Master League mode in eFootball v4.00 2025, it will be a paid DLC, which Konami has confirmed from the beginning. This takes us out of the free-to-play framework as is the case with the base game. While we wait for any official details about it to be announced, the question still arises, how much will the content cost when it is available?
No features have been confirmed for Master League yet, with Konami keeping their cards close to their chest. With no release date set, and no pricing set, we're also not sure how long we'll have to wait for more details on the mode.

- Focus on key statistics, player personality, how they work and move within the team.
- Ability to send scouts to specific areas and search and hunt for new talents.
- Also training scouts to improve their talent spotting skills.
3) In-depth tactics and game plans:
- Ability to modify tactics in a very detailed way.
- More realistic feel and higher difficulty level.
- Enables saving tactics and using them in different matches.
- Ability to share tactics with friends.
5) Well-crafted cinematic scenes:
- Harness the power of new hardware to deliver stunning visuals and engaging storytelling.
- Cinematic scenes of important events in the player's and team's career.
- Ability to skip cutscenes for players who do not wish to watch them.
6) Merge eFootball v4.00 2025 contents:
- Linking Master League mode with the rest of eFootball modes to create a complete gaming experience.
- Ability to use players obtained in Master League in other game modes.
- Earn rewards in Master League by participating in other eFootball modes.
